Release Notes

This is the source code that all of the DataJuggler.Web.Controls.dll were derived from..

This is a C# Visual Studio 2010 project.

The controls were converted from .ascx controls to server controls to be compiled into a .dll.

You do not have to download the source code, you can step thru the code of the .dlls as the .pdb file is included with the .dll.

If you modify the code and make any improvements or bug fixes please send them to me as I will include them with the project.

Below are two helpful web articles that helped me quickly get up to speed converting the .ascx controls that I created for my web site www.daily-click.com into a compiled DLL.

Migrating ASP.Net User Controls to a DLL in Visual Studio 2010

http://devio.wordpress.com/2011/02/11/migration-asp-net-user-controls-to-a-dll-in-visual-studio-2010/

And also this article on embedding images and other resources in a .dll;

Embedding and inlining resources in ASP.NET Web Controls

http://www.codeproject.com/Articles/217176/Embedding-and-inlining-resources-in-ASP-NET-Web-Co

Many thanks to the authors of these two articles as I read through dozens of outdated articles from as far back as 2003, and these were the best two I found on Visual Studio 2010, .Net Framework version 4.0 that I could find.

You will notice the code is Regionized, as I am a Regionaholic; All of the methods, properties, events etc are surrounded by Regions by my other open source project Regionizer version 1.5.

Regionizer is a Visual Studio 2010 Package that docks in the same location as the Solution Explorer, Tool Box, etc and has useful methods for Formatting a C# Document into regions and many other features.

If you work on the Source Code and you want to keep the code consistent with its current format, than please install Regionizer as it is one of the best unknown free tools for C# developers; Open Source is for brilliant developers that suck at marketing. Thats my life in a nutshell.

I also have to mention my favorite open source project and that is Rad Studio Code Generation Toolkit:

http://radstudio.codeplex.com

Rad Studio is the ultimate C# class library creator, data tier creator and stored procedure generator;

Rad Studio creates a 100% stored procedure driven data tiers.

Please report any suggestions, problems or feedback with DataJuggler.Web.Controls or any of my open source projects by emailing me at support@daily-click.com.
